Life is not comfortable, but it will get better.

Life is not comfortable, nor is it structured in a way where we get what we want when we want it. But, life does present itself in a way where we can see ourselves on the other side of the struggle if we do not give up.

Living paycheck to paycheck.
Not getting the house that you’ve been praying about.
Still not married.
Trouble in a marriage.
Family issues keep going.

And the list keeps going because we all have different issues, and we get exposed to different situations.

The struggle is ‘actually’ real.

None of us are exempt from experiencing struggles in life because none of us are perfect people. We experience conflict here on earth because Adam and Eve did not follow God’s instructions in the garden.

At times, it’s the instructions we hear in our spirits and do not follow…that can lead us to the struggle; and it’s the situation and people that we have no control over where struggle can present itself. The question then becomes, “How do I keep myself from the struggle?” You can’t. Because we live in an imperfect world where life happens and will continue to happen.

Since life will continue to happen, it’s your response to life happening that measures your degree of the struggle. From a personal standpoint, I deal with struggle way differently than I did ten years ago. I would become defeated in my mind, shut everyone out, and harden my heart toward God. Now, I take inventory on what I could have done differently, be real with God about how I feel (this is not pretty), and have these random conversations with God all throughout the day so that I get myself back to a place of peace.

You see, it’s not that struggle is not present, it is. It’s my response to the struggle that shines a light on how each day flows.

Living one day at a time.

If your life seems all out of sorts because what’s happening in your life currently, ponder your response to what you’re struggling with at this moment. By you pondering your response, you will get a sense about how you can adjust your reaction on your end to get a different emotion that connects to the struggle.

Life is a blessing from The Creator of the universe. He gives each of us twenty-four hours in a day to experience life. I encourage you to live each moment by not denying what you’re going through but having conversations with God about your struggle. When you have these conversations, He will begin to flood your soul with wisdom to maneuver through your garden of life.
